The Marangu Route is the least expensive route whilst also being the only route to offer accommodation in huts along the entire route. The fact that this route is also the shortest way to the summit of Kilimnajaro (5 Days) makes it the most popular of the routes. In fact it is so popular it has been affectionately named the "Coca Cola Route".
Although the climb on the Marangu Route can take only 5 days, we would recommend that you consider taking an extra day on the mountain to better acclimatise to the altitude; thus greatly increasing your chances of avoiding the symptoms of altitude sickness.
