As the climbing season picks up and the mountain gets busier we head off on one of the quieter and exceptionally beautiful routes on the mountain - the Shira Route. A real highlight of this climb is crossing the Shira Plateau on day 2, regarded as the best walk on the whole mountain. Our standard 7-day program allows plenty of time to get used to the high altitude before me make our attempt on Kibo, the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro
